It was so exiting to me because I love any type of animal that was ever made!! It was so fun when we did it last year! You guys are so lucky to have Ms.Colombo! I mean Mrs. Haefner!!! You are going to have so much fun when they hatch! It is so cool to see the vanes in the egg! They are so cute and fluffy when they come out of the egg and dry off! Hope you have fun playing with the chicks!!! ( Hi Mrs.Haefner!! I MISS YOU SO MUCH! )
I'm so excited because it's really exciting to see the chick hatch. It can hop but it can't walk. I think hatching chicks is the most exciting thing I have ever seen! We only have a few days left until one egg hatches and I think it will be real exciting to see a baby chick come out! I can't wait to hold it! :)
I am excited that you are learning all about the changes that go on inside the egg. Thank you for sharing it with me. I can't wait to see your excitement as the chicks start to peck, peck, peck from the inside and emerge into the world. Keep writing and learning about this amazing process, Mrs. Hefner's class!!!! ~ Ms. Ragland
Thank you Mrs. Haefner for doing this super fun class project again for our children!! Watching the kid's enthusiasm last year and again this year makes this one of my favorite projects too!! I grew up on a farm, watched chickens hatch and had to collect eggs every morning for breakfast...just another day on the farm. However, now that we all live in the city that is something most children will never experience. This project allows an up-close-and-personal view of one of life's great miracles. I am proud of all the children for working so hard on this blog...keep up the good work!!
When I was in your class, I loved to do the project with the chicks and I think that it is awesome that the second graders get to do the same project. The part I enjoyed most was the actuall hatchingof the chicks and bringing them home, looking at the inside of the egg, and looking at Shelby's funny shirt. The chicks were so cute, white, and fluffy, I just couldn't get enough of them. Then I brought them home, and well, then I got WAY more then enough of them. I hope you guys enjoyed hatching the chicks just as much as I did. P. S. I am Ms. Colombo's old student. I am in fourth grade now and I hope you guys get to bring them home as well!
P. S. This ios a funny story because I was looking at all the comments and wondering who in the world Mrs. Hefner is. Then I remembered that she got married. So much confuzzling news. :)
I think it is exiting because i have never seen eggs hatch before.
